Pre-Arrival Checklist!

It’s almost time to board a plane and start your new journey at Hofstra University! We have a lot of resources to help you along the way.

This is a simple checklist to help you stay on track and prepare for your arrival. If you need help or get stuck on any of the checklist items, email us at INTOHofstra@hofstra.edu.

You can review these items on the INTO Hofstra Welcome Guide to learn more about Hofstra, living in New York, what to pack and much more.

Now that you have confirmed your place, complete these important steps!

After you confirm your offer, you will receive an email from an INTO Hofstra team member with your Student ID number. Once you have this, follow the instructions in the email to activate your Hofstra Portal. Log into your Hofstra email daily and turn on notifications to respond to important emails. You can also forward your Hofstra emails to your personal email address, to make sure you don’t miss important information.

We offer a variety of visa support services through PASS, our Pre-Arrival Student Success Program. If you are applying for an F-1 visa for the first time, we recommend you join a PASS webinar and then sign up for a 1:1 PASS session. These sessions are required for Chinese students and recommended for students from other countries.
