Regulated by the Office for Students (OfS)

INTO University of East Anglia is regulated by the Office for Students (OfS). The OfS aims to help students succeed in Higher Education by ensuring they receive excellent information and guidance and get a high quality education that prepares them for the future, while protecting their interests. For more information, visit Office for Students.

Classes at INTO University of East Anglia are designed to maximize teacher-student interaction, with class sizes kept to a minimum for more one-on-one support. INTO invested £38 million into giving you the latest facilities, which include:

  • spacious classrooms with interactive whiteboards

  • two IT laboratories

  • three well-equipped laboratories for science-based courses

  • a lecture theater seating up to 80 students for university-style classes

  • comfortable social spaces throughout the building to relax and study with friends

  • a Learning Resource Center with academic books and computers.

The Learning Resource Center (also known as the LRC) is where you’ll find academic books, CDs, DVDs, journals and newspapers. Here, you can check out books, borrow a laptop overnight, print out study notes, scan in learning materials, access the UEA’s online facilities and download lecture notes from INTO UEA’s virtual learning environment.

The LRC is open every day between 7:30am–11pm. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, there are friendly members of staff in the LRC to offer advice and training from 8:30am–12:30pm and 1:30pm–7pm Monday to Friday.

If you can't find what you're looking for in the LRC, visit UEA's 24/7 library to browse thousands of academic books and journals.

The large INTO Café is on the first floor of the INTO Center at the University of East Anglia. Serving a wide variety of international cuisines to ensure you have a taste of home, it's open 365 days a year and serves hot and healthy meals three times a day.

You'll find everything from Asian and European to British dishes, as well as vegetarian and halal servings to cater to all dietary requirements. Students who have a meal plan as part of their accommodation will enjoy at least two meals in the INTO Café each day.

There are three modern science laboratories at INTO UEA for students taking science-based A levels. The class sizes ensure that you'll get lots of individual attention and support from your teachers and the science technicians.

The labs are very well-equipped, giving you access to more supplies than you'd find in an average high school. The quality of the equipment you'll get to use and the course content you'll experience at INTO UEA are the perfect foundation for your future studies in a scientific field.

In the courtyard, you’ll find the Courtyard Office. Here, Social and Welfare Officers are there to support you with any non-academic problems, such as:

  • help registering with a doctor and opening a bank account

  • support with renewing your visa and booking travel tickets

  • general advice and guidance about student life

  • social events and support sessions, including an orientation program.

Once you’ve finished studying, there’s a games console in the reception area that’s free for you to play with your friends. If gaming isn’t your thing, the center runs regular movie nights, craft nights and seasonal events (such as pumpkin carving at Halloween and dumpling making for Chinese New Year) to keep you entertained between studies.
