Visiting International Student Program

Oregon State University

With the Visiting International Student Program (VISP), you can enroll in credit-bearing courses across departments at OSU.

For those wanting a term or more of study abroad, VISP offers an American university experience with diverse credit-bearing classes. Access support services from the university and INTO OSU, including personalized tutoring and cultural trips. While intensive English courses are available, they are not mandatory.

Courses taken are transferable based on your home university's articulation policies, and all VISP courses are credit-bearing (excluding optional intensive English courses). Coordinate with your home university to ensure credit transfer for VISP courses within your degree.

Key Information

  • Courses taken are transferrable in accordance with articulation policies of the student's home university.
  • All courses taken as part of the VISP are credit-bearing (except intensive English courses, if selected).
  • Students should coordinate with their home university to ensure courses taken through VISP are transferrable to their degree.
