Academic entry requirements

  • High school diploma
  • ACT/SAT may be required depending on program
  • Additional materials may also be required
  • Minimum GPA equivalent: 3.0

English language requirements

  • TOEFL iBT: 80 (18 in all subscores)
  • IELTS: 6.5 (6.0 in all subscores)
  • Duolingo: 110
  • Academic English: Level 6

Transfer

If you have been enrolled at a college or university, you may be eligible to transfer your studies to George Mason University. Fall and spring semester starts are available. More information about transfer applications can be found on the university site.

Academic entry requirements

GPA 2.50 on a 4.00 scale. Transfer applicants with less than 24 credit hours may be required to submit secondary school information in addition to their university coursework

English language requirements

  • TOEFL: 80 (minimum 18 in all subsections)
  • IELTS: 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in all subsections)
  • Duolingo: 110+
