The San Marcos Campus, near Austin and San Antonio, is a welcoming community. In fact, San Marcos is ranked among the top college towns in Texas. The San Marcos River adds to the campus beauty. You can enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding and swimming in this river. You can also spend the day hiking in the Purgatory Creek Natural Area. If you like music, you can go to open mic nights and enjoy live music in different venues.

The campus features McCoy Hall, home of the McCoy College of Business. It also hosts The Theatre Center for theatre and dance. Here, you can also find the Ingram Hall Makerspace, a hub for tech and prototyping.

Services and facilities

Round Rock Campus  

We have a second campus location in Round Rock, Texas. Our Round Rock Campus is in a safe and modern district. We're the midway point between Austin and San Antonio. The great weather year-round lets you explore many parks, swimming holes and sports events. Catch a Round Rock Express game at the Dell Diamond. Or, play golf at Forest Creek Golf Course. 

The campus has three buildings. The Avery Building has world-class classrooms, labs and a library. The Nursing Building is home to St. David's School of Nursing. Willow Hall is home to The College of Health Professions. 

The McCoy College of Business Administration

Housed in McCoy Hall, the McCoy College of Business Administration has 4,000+ business majors and 2,000 minors. Our faculty research focuses on supply chain management, consumer behavior and corporate governance.

Students can learn and collaborate in high-tech classrooms, computer labs and collaborative spaces. These are designed to boost learning and spark innovation.

The Department of Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science researches human-computer interaction, cybersecurity, AI and data science. Faculty and students work together on projects. Our projects are often funded by federal and industry partners. Also, our department features advanced computing labs, collaborative spaces and cutting-edge technology.

The Ingram Hall Makerspace

The Ingram School of Engineering has a Makerspace in Ingram Hall. It is for students, teachers and staff to create prototypes. We use the latest manufacturing and prototyping technology. The 11,000-square-foot facility has four zones: rapid prototyping, industrial, welding and woodworking. Each area serves a unique purpose, enabling diverse manufacturing processes under one roof. 

The Performing Arts Center

The Performing Arts Center is our biggest arts venue. It includes a 400-seat theater, a 300-seat recital hall, staging areas, classrooms and a rehearsal space. Students can access its design and production facilities to explore their creativity.
