Studying at INTO University of East Anglia

Join our close-knit community at the INTO University of East Anglia (UEA) Center, where you’ll live and study alongside other international students at the heart of UEA’s campus. No other pathway center can support you like we do, with 24/7 care from an expert team based in the same building as your accommodation.

From arriving at the welcome desk to sitting down with our Social and Welfare team in the Courtyard Office, we’re dedicated to helping you feel comfortable as you adjust to life in Norwich.

Dedicated support throughout your studies

In the courtyard, you’ll find the Courtyard Office. Here, our Social and Welfare Officers are there to support you with anything non-academic – from registering with a doctor and opening a bank account, to support sessions focusing on managing anxiety, mindfulness and planning.

Across the center, we offer a range of other support services, so ask us anything. Not sure where your next class is? Want to know where to find the best coffee on campus? We're there to answer any questions you may have.

  • 24/7 support – hotel-style service with 24-hour support at the INTO UEA Welcome Desk.

  • Visa advice – specialist support from our dedicated Visa and Compliance Lead.

  • Language advisers – for students who need extra English support and study sessions.

  • Social program – from pumpkin carving at Halloween to dumpling making for Chinese New Year.

  • Personal Tutor – your contact for any academic questions and support in your studies.

  • Progression support – one-to-one university progression support and events.

Helping you from the day you arrive

During your first week, or Welcome Week, you'll get to know your fellow classmates and staff at the center. Your orientation program will cover:

  • an introduction to your program and module taster sessions

  • tours of the campus and the vibrant city of Norwich

  • registering with the doctor based on the UEA campus

  • student support and wellbeing talks

  • social activities and an introduction to the social program.

Our teachers understand how challenging it can be to learn in a new study environment, so will help you get accustomed to the new education system from your first class. At the beginning of your course, you’ll also meet your Personal Tutor. You can approach them for help with any academic questions or personal issues throughout your studies. They’ll help you settle into Norwich, monitor your academic progress and can refer you to additional support if needed.
