INTO students can arrive in the UK feeling more prepared for their study journey ahead thanks to our UK pre-arrival checklist and updated center-specific pre-arrival pages.
From our INTO Community networking platform to our free online Get Ready to Study program, there are plenty of resources to help students feel ready for their UK studies in January.
January start dates at INTO Lancaster University

Prepare for success with our Get Ready to Study program
Get Ready to Study comprises 1.5 hours of study and focuses on life in the UK, study skills and employability. Students can complete the program anywhere, any time and at their own pace.
1,077 students (46%) engaged with the program between July and October 2023, with 424 students completing one unit – and nearly a quarter completing the whole thing.
Here are some examples of what students liked most about the program:

“It prepares international students to know what they will face at INTO and acquire new skills.”
“This program helped me to understand what is required for studying in the UK.”
“I was fully ready to start my program before the start date.”
Confirmed students will receive an email detailing how they can access and log in to the program’s VLE – they will use their email address as the username and their unique application ID as the password.
Connect with classmates through INTO Community
Students at INTO Newcastle, INTO London and INTO Stirling have access to INTO Community – a private, invite-only online platform for INTO offer holders. Here, they can:
virtually meet their future friends and classmates before they travel
network with current international students, staff and alumni
attend unique digital events
participate in Gen Z focused activities
access valuable resources to help them during the enrollment process.
So far, there are 2,800+ activated members on the INTO Community platform with up to 25% of users returning to the community weekly – demonstrating just how valuable the platform is for new students.
